Cross Fingers

I'm an addict to the hilarity that is Failblog.org

I found an article in Time.com and I attempted to submit this to Failblog to post it. Crossing Fingers!

Illustration 1

I found these and I was proud of them greatly as my final for Illustration 1 from Freshman year. Finals are rough I will post some pics of the developing stuff from there too. I SWEAR!

But alas. I decided the death of the gods would be a charming story line to illustrate for kids. So I have the Midgard serpent and Fenrir the wolf. There was one close up and one distance for each page. I like the distance ones. HERE!

Ideas when you're braindead.

So this assignment for Tools of the Trade lets us first fine excerpts from this site:

Basically picking from here and going to these random folks blog spaces after we find an excerpt we like is a fantastic idea to just make some cool illustrations or something. So I'm excited to get some sketches worked out for this winner. Later today (day light hours) I will post what I've been doing for childrens book. I got a quick tutorial to make some more organized use of Painter so I might actually follow through with the program for some of the the final works. We shall see!

No way!

A newly discovered fossil from China has shed light on how the turtle's shell evolved.
The 220 million-year-old find, described in Nature journal, shows that the turtle's breast plate developed earlier than the rest of it's shell.
The breast plate of this fossil was an extension of its ribs, but only hardened skin covered its back.
Researchers say the breast plate may have protected it while swimming. The turtle fossil, found near Guangling in south-west China, is thought to be the ancestor of all modern turtles, although it differs markedly; it has teeth rather than a bony plate, the shell only covers its underside and it has a long tail. The fossil find helps to answer key questions about the evolution of turtles, Dr Xiao-Chun Wu from the Canadian Museum of Nature was one of the first to examine the fossil.

MCAD ART SALE!

Starts tomorrow from what I believe is 6 to 9.

Last year was exciting romping through the hallways and the crowds with fellow classmates keeping an eye out for stuff being picked off the walls. I put up 2100 dollars worth total. Aiming for over a 1000 sold at most. It will go towards the recovery of my cavitified tooth! The rest towards Hawaii or Australia. Whatever the plan may be.

I aim to get off work early if I can and get to venture towards the school, let alone find a parking spot now that I think about it. Hope to see you guys there!

The first and foremost important thing. You have to know me!

Okie dokie. I've accumulated my links, I've experienced the stuff and I've found my little obsessions. So this is an attempt to organize and help make public the stuff that waddles out of my head. Woot! Lets start out with something very special happening on this day. With 10 min. on the clock I pulled up to Barnes and Noble before closing. I request the book I've been waiting way to long for and alas. The one and only shrink wrapped copy is sitting on the "to be shelfed" rack.
I now own this piece of work(s)...

Oh jeez oh jeez oh jeez. This is what I can only dream of doing right now. He's casted his amazing shadow over every field of art. After this book as come out he's stated he's receding and doing some private commission stuff for awhile. But alas. Fables. AMAZING

I'm in the midst of doing the Frog Prince myself. I would be lying if I said I wasn't inspired on his amazing take of it stylistically. Especially in 1001 Nights of Snow Fall.

Ok. Now that I have this blog up. I'm gonna do some work. MAYBE even get it posted onto here. Wouldn't that be awesome?
