I found one of my Dept 56 designs has been made into an ornament for sale!

Here is the fancy schmancy picture taken for selling! 

This is very exciting. I guess I have to keep trolling the site to see if anything else is posted since they wont alert me when they do.

The wonders of youtube! 

If you know me well I have my little obsession with anything animated of Disney's Little Mermaid.  This included the show. I also have some odd fascination with jingles from cartoon shows and old nick at nite tv shows. 

Here is one of my favorite episodes! The one with the sea calliope. It wakes the fearsome seaclops. I attached the video clip youtube has and at the end you can hear Triton playing on it. I remember that jingle for years hoping to hear it again. (I'm glad I downloaded the entire tv series >.>)  But yes, I thought you as well would enjoy this link so you can watch some old school disney animation. Oh plus there are other episodes! oh of course I found another one, I wont post pictures but its when she goes to find the magic star fish to wish her self to fins so she can dance like a ballerina.  The piano playing of the song is nice and the song Jodie Benson sang is nice.

I always wondered where my interest in animal care came from. But I think this may had have something to do with it. I even remember having an imaginary wolf I named Swift, that I thought would follow me around when I ran in the woods. But no it came from this, and the song I would whistle out of nowhere. DAVID THE GNOME!

Here is the first episode with the theme songs! I always up till this day would just whistle the ending theme not really knowing where I got it from up till now!

I thought, why not show how sketch becomes more of what I'm pleased with in my work and hope to continue? Oh and its a turtle, how could I not post it?!

That i look at it I think I lost some of the whimsy I enjoy in the sketch. I need to figure in a looser hand in my acrylics. I think its time I try liquid acrylics.

Its been so long >.>

It has been a month and its my fault for letting the laziness of holiday to kick in enough to prevent me from just sitting and adding stuff I had planned to have sooner. Some old sketches were dug up and I wanted to post them next to their finished pieces. I'm still trying to make more and more sketches before I commit but I take some pride I guess in pieces like the one with the keyhole when it only took 4 sketches to get to that one. That is bragging isn't it? Oops! Well here it is!

             

I like vertical pieces. It's got a modern feel to it right? Well either way it lost the couple that voyeur Alice was watching. It was an Illustration 2 assignment when we take key words (through a keyhole) and have to make something of it.
